Eames in my dreams

Last Saturday some LAMA folk were lucky enough to attend the 60th Anniversary of the Eames House in the Pacific Palisades. The greatest part about the celebration was the fact that they opened the house to tours! And this only happens one day a year!!! So, you could say we were quite excited. During the tour we got to go through the studio, kitchen, and living room. We got to see the “vertical xylophone” in action and a beautifully set breakfast table, just how Ray would have preferred. After the tour we laid on some blankets in the field and reminisced about the lives of Charles and Ray. It was a lovely day.
